投诉信、抱怨信

You bought a vacuum cleaner from a reputable electrical shop the other week but found that there were some problems with it. Write a letter to the director of the sales department in the shop to tell:
1)What the problems with vacuum cleaner are,
2)the trouble it caused with you,
3)What you would like them to do about it

Dear Director of the Sales Department,

称呼:写作关系不亲密的个人
I am Li Ming, an ordinary consumer of your shop.
I venture to write you a letter about the problems caused by the Vacuum Cleaner of Model XYZ I bought from your shop.


第一句是写信人自我介绍。


第二句表明写信缘由:投诉
(积累: I venture to do …)
The focus of the complaint is the poor quality of the vacuum.
For one thing, the vacuum doesn’t work effectively to pick up dirt on either bare floor or carpets. For another, the power shuts off by itself when the vacuum has been running for several minutes and then comes back after 30 to 60 seconds.
Honestly speaking, I am not making fuss over this purchase. But, it is not convenient for me to do cleaning work with it and when I went back to the department of home appliance, I was told that I couldn’t exchange because the vacuum was on sale.


第一句总括投诉的核心内容。
(主系表结构)
第二、三句分述了所购吸尘器的问题。从两方面细化了投诉内容。
(积累:For one thing…; for anther….
Either… or…
Shut off

第四、五句客观了陈述了投诉的原因。
(积累:honestly speaking;
make fuss over;
It is not convenient for … to do ... )
All in all, there is still much room for improvement. Before I take any further action, I do hope you can provide me a new vacuum or refund my money.
Thank you for your time and kind consideration.


第一、二句提出写信人的批评,表达本人的愿望,并敦促对方采取行动。
(积累:all in all; Take action; Provide sb. Sth.)
信件的常用结尾。
